Walter Jerseys/Saturday Ride
Walter Jerseys. The Long and Short of It: A couple of pieces of news on this front. First, if you missed the opportunity to purchase a Walter jersey last year, we are reopening our store through the Primal website. We have two different jerseys you can order now.
The short-sleeve jersey will again be available and it is exactly the same jersey we had last year. The price will remain the same, $69.99. They come in both men's and women's variants and have two zip pockets on the back. It is a true mountain bike jersey.
New this year, and after receiving several requests, we are also offering a long-sleeve version of the jersey. It is basically the same jersey with sleeves for your fall and winter riding pleasure. Again, men and women's specific jersey's are available. The price of the long-sleeve variant will be $74.99. Here's a picture of the long-sleeve version:
If you are interested in ordering either variant, please visit the Primal website and reserve yours today: https://via.primalcustom.com/collections/ts-4693. The Primal store will only be open through September 5, 2023. So don't dawdle. Get it done. The jerseys should be delivered in a bulk shipment to Cycle Mania by November 3, 2023. If you want your jersey delivered directly to your home rather than needing to pick it up at the bike store you can do so. But you'll have check the "drop-ship" alternative and pay for extra shipping costs, which will be $15.00 extra. Proceeds above and beyond the cost of the jerseys will go to benefit the Save the Buena Vista Foundation 501(c)(3) for our ongoing effort to preserve and expand the trails in the Buena Vista trail system.
Saturday Group Ride, 9/26: Well OK then. We'll try to ride the Buena again this weekend. We have scheduled it for there the last two weeks only to need to do late scratches both times due to rain and have ridden the Snowflake-Taylor secret trails instead. It is supposed to be wet Wednesday and Thursday this week as we get the remnants of tropical storm Harold. Friday looks drier, but there is still a chance of storms that day as well.
Cross your fingers and plan on meeting at the BV trailhead off of U.S. 60 south of Show Low at 7:00 a.m. for a 12-15 mile romp on what just might be hero dirt if things work out well. We should be out by around 9:00 a.m. Just a casual and friendly ride and we promise not to lose anyone Intermediate MTB skills are recommended. But please check the Cyclemaniacs group ride announcement on Strava to make sure we are still on for that location. Especially if it rains on Friday. We could well end up in Snowflake again . . . which is not at all an unhappy alternative at all!
