Saturday Morning BV Trail Work: Hey, hey, hey, here's your Saturday ride information! There is no ride Saturday morning! The weather is looking like it is going to be dry enough to allow us to have a 2nd trail give-back day, so we need folks to volunteer for trail work Saturday morning.
The plan is for our crew to finish the Differential re-route, which we started well over a month ago, and to permanently close down old Differential. The hope is that with enough hands, we can finish with those projects quickly Saturday morning. If you can at all come out and help with this, we'd sure appreciate it!

Meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Buena Vista trailhead. You have the choice of either riding your bike from the trailhead to the Differential re-route area, or you can drive in if you have a high-clearance vehicle. We've checked the roads and confirmed that we shouldn't have a mud problem. Personally, I'd recommend you ride your bike out so you can get in a little ride with your work, but that's just me. We will have the necessary tools from the TRACKS trailer driven out to the work site where we set up last time. So you don't need to bring your own tools unless you have a favorite you like to use.
It is going to be sunny and hot Saturday, with a forecast high of ninety-six degrees in Show Low. That means we want to get out there, get our work done and get out. It also means that you need to bring plenty of liquids with you to drink, a hat to wear, and sun protection for your skin. And make sure you bring your work gloves!!!!!
TOWM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers are needed for the 30th annual Tour of the White Mountains bike race. The event is scheduled this year for Saturday Oct 3rd, 2026.
Epic Rides of Tucson manages the event, and riders can choose rides of 9, 35, 50 and new this year, an 18 mile course in addition to the 30-mile gravel ride. TRACKS volunteers mark the course, sweep the riders, help with packet pickup/registration, serve at aid stations, guide riders at critical turn points and road crossings, and help at the kids ride in the venue. If you are interested in spending the day with a group of friends volunteering, consider volunteering at any of the 4 aid stations and have your friends sign up with you. For all of our efforts, Epic Rides makes a sizable donation to TRACKS that helps support our activities throughout the year. Volunteers receive a Tour of the White Mountains T-shirt, Goody bag and $40 discount on future Epic races including the TOWM.
If you are interested in volunteering, go to https://signup.com/go/zUsmnVE to sign up. Please let TRACKS know at town.volunteer@gmail.com if you have any issues with the signup process or questions. Thank you for volunteering; this event doesn’t happen without all of your support
