Those Whippy Things/Saturday Ride
Summer 2023 Trail Adoptions: The oaks have all come out and now and seem to have exploded in growth! As a result we are all getting whipped by oak branches again and our sight lines and trail corridors are getting choked with vegetation.
The Yucca are currently in bloom in the Buena or
another trail near you! All the wetness of the last
winter is making this year's bloom spectacular!

So it is time to take care of that problem and do trail adoptions for maintenance this summer. We did this a couple of years ago and it was pretty successful. This time Jacque Hamilton has agreed to put up a Google document and share it so all of you can sign up to adopt a BV trail of your own to trim back. All you really need for this is a good set of hand pruners and you are set! Hike in, bike in,
whatever works for you!

Saturday Group Ride: The Cyclemaniacs will be back in action for a group ride in the Buena Vista this weekend in the Buena Vista after enjoying a" very green" Los Burros last weekend. Meet at the Buena Vista trailhead off of U.S. 60 south of Show Low at 8:00 a.m.. Anticipate a 12-15 mile ride at a moderate social pace.
This week Pivot is going to be a doing a "demo day" at or near the BV trailhead. Whether you are interested in a new bike or are just "bike curious" this event is for you! The 1st demo segment (7 a.m. - 10 a.m.) will be in conjunction with our Saturday group ride, So if you are going to demo a new Pivot, you'll want to be at the trailhead early so you are set up by the time we leave at 8:00 a.m.. The number of new Pivots to ride are limited so sign up for a slot soon by contacting Cycle Mania at (928) 537-8812 or just dropping by the store.
If you can't make the morning 7-10 a.m. time slot there are two later time slots available in the afternoon, one from 11 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and another from 3 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
