Snowflake Ride This Saturday Morning! And Halloween!

Snowflake Secret Trails: Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! We are over the hump and on the backside of the ramp down to the weekend now. So it is time to plan our weekly ride.

The Vortex!

This week what we have on tap is a ride in the Snowflake Secret Trails. New stuff just keeps being added to this trail system and being as it is fall and getting cooler, now is the time to go hit it up! Meet at the main trailhead at the bike park on W/ 7th St. South at 8:00 a.m. If you need directions, here you go: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Snowflake+outdoor+bicycle+course/@34.3777966,-110.2357204,11z/data=!4m10!1m2!2m1!1ssnowflake+bike+park!3m6!1s0x872f3d97710d8fbb:0xb1349565c0dd14c4!8m2!3d34.4985038!4d-110.1098322!15sChNzbm93Zmxha2UgYmlrZSBwYXJrWhUiE3Nub3dmbGFrZSBiaWtlIHBhcmuSAQRwYXJrmgEjQ2haRFNVaE5NRzluUzBWSlEwRm5TVVJPZVhNMk4ySlJFQUXgAQA!16s%2Fg%2F11stp2_w68?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTAyMS4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

For those of you who have not been here before, this is probably a little higher intermediate ride that offers some commanding views, lots of ups and downs, switchbacks and some rocky sections that keep things interesting. We'll ride right in the usual range . . 12-15 miles, probably about 1,100-1,500 ft. in elevation gain. It will be a social "no-drop" ride, so come out out with us please! The riding season is getting short in case last weekend's weather failed to get that message across!

Halloween Ride: Keep in mind that we have our Halloween Ride in the Buena Vista area coming up on October 31st at 6:00 p.m.! If you plan on going, please check in w/Carol or Mike Godwin at Cycle Mania in person or by phone to let us know you are coming and how many you will have in your party. We like to have a rider number so we can purchase the necessary treats and glow sticks in advance. By the end of this weekend would be good! And start getting prepared by getting your lights for this ride charged or purchased! The recommendation is for two lights: One for your helmet and one for your handlebars.

Our friend is so lonely out in Grindstone. She

and she just wants to play with you!

Plan those bike-friendly Halloween costumes too! We will post up the final need-to-know information for the ride Sunday night or on Monday, so stay tuned!
