Saturday Secrets Ride, 7:00 a.m., Walgreen's

Saturday Morning Ride: Hey everyone! Great group ride last weekend exploring Blue Ridge, Springs and Country Club! If you have not ridden the new part Blue Ridge shortcut TRACKS put in, you really must! See the picture below of last weekend's group at this giant of an alligator juniper near the top of the new trail. Great views from up there too!

This week the group ride will return to the Buena Vista trail. This week only, meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Walgreen's parking lot in Show Low. There is some work that needs to be done at the Wagon Wheel Road trailhead. Over the 4th of July weekend some motorized people broke through the rock barriers and went up onto the trails at that location. The rocks are really big and we need more hands on deck to move the barriers back into place to discourage the motorized traffic. It should only take a few minutes to do this small but necessary work.

The ride will run 12-15 miles and we should be done between 9:00 and 9:30. This is a no-drop social ride with intermediate MTB skills recommended. There is some rain the forecast . . . but that has been in the forecast almost everyday and mostly that has not been panning out. If it does rain much on Friday make sure you check for a possible cancellation notice, but we will try to make this happen! Hope you can join the group this week!
