Group Ride 3/28, 7:00 a.m.: Hey Everyone! What a great ride we had last week for our first official group ride of the year. The turnout was awesome, the weather made it feel like mid-summer (less any leaves on the oak trees), and we did some "creative" routing to see some things we normally wouldn't.

Let's keep the momentum going! This Saturday, we'll plan to ride the Buena Vista again starting at 7:00 a.m. Yes, I know, it is awfully early in the year to start 7:00 rides. But last week's heat and a similar forecast for this Saturday seems to pretty much demand an earlier start time. Last week's ride had us out there after the temperature had crested 80, and most of us White Mountain folks don't cope with that so well (Yes, do I hear the snickering of all of the valley people!). Who knows, if the predicted cool down next week happens and we actually get seasonable temperatures we may move the start time back again to eight. We'll just have to see how it goes.
As always, this is a moderate-paced, friendly and social group ride, meaning we stop regularly to keep our group together. We'll cover somewhere between twelve and fifteen miles and should get back to the trailhead around 9:00 a.m.. We recommend intermediate level MTB skills.
So meet at the BV 637 trailhead a couple of miles south of Show Low off of U.S. 60 and be ready to ride at 7:00 on Saturday morning!
Annual Meeting Notice/Board Elections: Save the Buena Vista Foundation will be holding its annual meeting and officer elections for the upcoming fiscal year on April 13th, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. at the Advantage Realty Office in Show Low, AZ.
