Saturday Ride in Snowflake, 7:00 a.m.
Saturday Morning Ride: Hey everyone! It was pretty early spring the last time we had a group ride out in Snowflake. But you know . . . progress keeps marching forward out in Snowflake and Taylor thanks to Rick, Brandon and the support of the community out there. New trails keep being built and added to the system. And, a brand new bridge was delivered and installed in June to carry bike and pedestrian traffic. This kind of trail infrastructure does not come cheap!

So here's the plan. Meet at the bike park trailhead on 7th Street South at 7:00 a.m.. If you've not been there and are coming from the Show Low side, hang a left on 7th St. S. at the stoplight just past the Maverick gas station. And just keep heading straight down that road, across a bridge over a creek crossing, then up the other side until you see a wide parking area on the left.
This will be a 12-15 mile ride with intermediate MTB skills recommended. Most would say these trails are a little more technical that most of the trails found in the Buena Vista area. I'm sure we'll be done with the ride by 10:00 because there is no place to hide from the sun in Snowflake. Forecast temperature at ride time is 72 degrees and by 10:00 a.m. it should be around 85. So make sure you pack a decent amount of water and electrolytes!
Hopefully Rick and/or Brandon will see this post and give us the "guided tour" of the newest stuff in the area!
