Saturday Ride 5/3, TRACKS Saturday Trailwork, STBVF Annual Meeting

TRACKS Saturday Morning Trailwork: Hey there everyone! Hope you are having a great week! There is an exciting opportunity to help TRACKS out with finishing the new high school mountain biking course in Woodland Lake and Mountain Meadows parks. Next Saturday May 3rd, Garth Orkney will be organizing the trail work and TRACK will be meeting in the Mountain Meadows parking lot near the cell tower at 8am and work on the Hitching Post Trail. This work compliments the two new trails TRACKS has been working on since last fall and are not finished.   There will be snacks and drinks and Garth is hoping for a big turnout! Saturday's work will likely finish the new high school bike track. If you don't get out to work on it, make sure to check it out on your mountain bike. It could certainly use some wheels on it to get a good groove into it.

Saturday Morning Bike Ride: This coming Saturday, May 3rd, the Cyclemaniacs will be riding the Buena Vista again! Last week we had a great group of folks who showed up for the 1st real group ride of the 2025 season. Thanks to everyone who came out! It is great to ride with other enthusiasts!

This Saturday, meet at the Buena Vista Trailhead south of Show Low off Highway 60 at 8:00 a.m. ready to ride. The ride will run between twelve and fifteen miles, and we should be done around 10:00 a.m. Our Cyclemaniacs rides are always friendly, no-drop rides and we've never left anyone stranded in the woods yet!

STBVF Annual Meeting: The STBVF will hold its annual meeting on Friday, May 9th at 7:00 a.m. at the offices of White Mountain Advantage Realty Office in Show Low. If you'd like an update on the progress in getting the Buena Vista trail system approved, come to our meeting! We'll be having officer elections for the upcoming fiscal year and be reviewing the design of our second generation STBVF cycling jerseys. If you have something you'd like to discuss concerning the Buena Vista trail system with the Board, this would be a great time to do it. Call Jason Moore at (928) 521-3460 if you have something specific you'd like to see on the STBVF agenda. The official agenda will be posted as part of next week's update and ride announcement.
