Saturday Group Ride: Well, how about that? Some actual seasonably appropriate temperatures and some actual rain today! Just what we needed to help get some of the dust calmed down on our local trails. Give them a day or two, but it should make for some hero dirt for a view days and nice riding conditions this weekend.

We have a plan for Saturday morning. We are going to go ride the Snowflake-Taylor trails. The Snowflake crew has been busy building, and there have been some more new additions to the trails since the last time we had a group ride out there late last summer. We'll check that out if we can. Hopefully, we'll have a member of the Snowflake crew along with us to help guide us around. If you haven't ridden Snowflake, what is out there is quite a surprise. The trail system has a little bit of everything, from a flat paved biking/hiking/running path, winding and flowing single-track trails with technical sections, to freestyle mountain bike park features! Our group ride will focus mostly on the single track sections. It is definitely a little technical in a few places and there is way more climbing than you might imagine if you haven't ridden these trails before. It is definitely a intermediate level ride, so bring that skill set along for this one.
The Snowflake-Taylor trail system is about 20 miles north of Show Low. You'll want to take Highway 77 north to West 7th Street South in Snowflake, turning left at the Maverick gas station. From there, continue two miles to the west on West 7th South, crossing the Jake Flake wash crossing, until you come upon the parking area with bike features and restrooms on the left side of the road. That's where you'll park.
See you at 8:00 a.m on Saturday, 4th., ready to ride!
