Saturday Group Ride: Meet at County Club TH, 7:00 a.m.

Saturday Group Ride: Hey Everyone! Time to plan the group ride for this coming weekend. This week, we are going to be doing something new . . . we are going to combining parts of the County Club Trail, Iron Horse Connector/Springs Trail/Blue Ridge Trail and Lumberjack Trail, into one ride. We'll be starting from the Country Club trailhead, so be ready to ride at 7:00 a..m. from that trailhead.

Each of these loops have their own character. The Country Club and Iron Horse sections are relatively easy without much climbing. The Springs Trail is also relatively flat and has some nice sections that are fun and easy to cruise . . . but there are a few technical sections that are rather difficult and challenging for just about anyone to conquer. Then we've got Blue Ridge and Lumberjack, which are going to offer us about a three mile climb, and then a three mile descent over some moderately challenging terrain.

All told, we are probably looking at riding right around fifteen miles. We should be able to finish up about 9:30 a.m. We will set a moderate pace but will be stopping at all trail intersections to ensure we keep our group together. In terms of the skill set required for this ride . . . let's call it "high intermediate."

So . .. . hope to see a good turn out on Saturday! The way we link pieces of these trails together is something you can take away from it and keep in mind for days where you are wanting to do something a little different.

Walter Jersey Pricing Issues: It has come to our attention that the "dynamic pricing" model Jakroo advertised in putting together our jersey order did not exactly work the way it was supposed to work. This apparently has resulted in price inequities between those who pre-ordered jerseys and those who are buying them at Cycle Mania. It's kind of bizarre and we apologize for the confusion.

We will be looking into the issue with Jakroo and trying to determine what, if anything, can be done to correct the issue. Stay tuned.

Regardless of the pricing issues . . . the jerseys themselves turned out awesome. Here's a group of riders from last weekend's group ride in the Buena sporting Walter at the Hole-In-The-Rock . . . at Hole-In-The-Rock!
