Saturday Group Ride in the Buena, 8:00 a.m.

Ride in the Buena Saturday: Hey Everyone! Wow, what an awesome weekend of rain! It has been so long since we've had a meaningful storm like that one and the rain was so needed! Sorry to have missed being able to do a group ride last weekend and get Halloween decorations up. But that was fine . . . the benefits of the storm exceeded the burdens.

TRACKS President Steve Dobbs busy cutting a fallen tree off of Trailfairies before the recent storms. There are a lot dead trees about thanks to the drought. This is going to be a very frequent activity over the next few years.

Anyway, after a three-week layoff, we'll be back on our bikes Saturday morning! Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Buena Vista trailhead a couple of miles south of Show Low on highway 60.. We'll be doing a twelve to fifteen mile MTB Ride in the Buena. As usual, this is a friendly group ride where we just set a moderate pace, stop at all of the major trail intersections and make sure we keep our group together. Do note the change in start time to 8:00 in the morning. It's getting cool in the mornings and the sun doesn't get over the horizon quite so early this time of year.

If you are out the Buena before our ride this weekend . . . please report any storm damage or downed trees to Jason Moore so that we can take a look at it and do any necessary repairs. Hopefully the precipitation was spread out enough that not much damage was done. But it was a lot of water, so we'll see. It may be dry enough to get out there and survey conditions by tomorrow.

See you Saturday morning!
