Long Ride Saturday Morning! Meet 7:00 CC Trailhead

Saturday Morning Ride: Hey Everyone! Hope you are having a great week and enjoying the fact that most spots around the White Mountains got some decent rain this week. Obviously, it doesn't make a dent in our precipitation shortfall but it was nice to get something.

So this coming Saturday, August 16th we've got something different on-deck: a 25-mile foray that will include the Country Club Trail, Chipmunk Connector Trail and the "short-route" on Los Burros. Yep, that's about ten miles longer than our normal ride! While there is not much technical terrain in this ride, intermediate MTB skills are still needed and there are some pretty good little climbs in there. But on the flip side . . . yep, there are some fun and fast descents on the way back!

Last weekend's group ride in the Buena was fun, but is was a scorcher! Hottest ride of the year by a significant margin! Pictured here is Carol Godwin's steed on Trailfairies next to our friend Bonnie.

Meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Country Club trailhead off of Sky-Hi Retreat Road and be ready to leave on-time.. Because of the length of the ride and Mike and Carol's need to get Cycle Mania opened up on time, we are going to need to move this one at a relatively brisk pace. I'd expect that we'll be back to the trailhead around 10:00-10:15 a.m. Due to the length of the ride and the need to keep it moving at a good pace, this particular ride is not a good choice for beginners.
