Happy National Trails Day!/Panorama Ride Tomorrow
National Trails Day Event: Hey everyone! Happy National Trails Day!
STBVF was at the trails celebration at the Nature Center in Lakeside today with TRACKS, the USFS and others celebrating trail systems. We had great opportunities to educate the public about ongoing trail projects including our pet Buena Vista proposal, the Show Low North trails proposal. There was a great turnout and we probably met 50 or so people today at the STBVF booth.
Huge thanks to Susie Griffin and Amy Johnson for helping out with the booth today Mreen Helm for organizing the event!
Panorama Ride Tomorrow Morning: We will be doing a group ride Sunday morning starting at 7:00 a.m. sharp from the Panorama trailhead. We plan on doing a figure-eight loop on Panorama, which will bring the mileage total to somewhere around thirteen or fourteen miles.
Panorama is a medium difficulty trail that rewards intermediate riders, although there are a couple of tough sections for just about anyone to clear. If you haven't been to Panorama before, it is immediately off of Porter Mountain Road. For specifics about the trail and directions, visit the TRACKS website: https://trackswhitemountains.org/take-a-hike/panorama-trail-635/
This is a no-drop friendly and social group ride, so come on out and join the fun!
