Differential Re-Route Complete/BV Ribbon Cutting October 7th

Differential Re-Route Completed: We need to pass along the fact that the re-route we needed to do in order to avoid an area of archeological concern was completed last weekend. Thanks so much to everyone who showed up and allowed us to get it done before it got too hot! Our crew did a great job, the results look fantastic and it is riding really well.

Signs note the closure of the portion of the portion of Differential that is now closed and re-directing trail users onto the new Differential re-route.

Our crew also completed closing the old section of Differential that we agreed to close as part of our deal with the USFS to get the Buena project approved. Both ends of the closure have been marked with official brown USFS carsonite closure notices as well as a notice from TRACKS pointing trail users to use the new re-route. It is very important to respect this closure as it has some bearing on our credibility with the USFS. Although we think our closure and naturalization of the old trail should be quite convincing, we ask folks to please respect the closure and leave that area alone.

Save the Date for the BV Ribbon Cutting: You are cordially invited to the official ribbon cutting for the new Buena Vista Trail system on Wednesday, October 7th from 11:30 a..m. - 1:30 p.m. at the old ramada in Show Low City Park. This is the opportunity for the users of the trail system to celebrate our accomplishments in building the system and recognizing all of the people who came together and made it possible. We are inviting the press, the memberships of TRACKS, STBVF, leadership from the City of Show Low and Navajo County, as well as other large contributors.
