Saturday Morning Ride: Hey Everyone! The Cyclemaniacs gang is going to be back in the Buena Vista this Saturday after being away for the last couple of weekends.
Last week, we had a great ride out at Los Burros. Always nice to get out to that area, but a word of warning . . . the campground host at the Los Burros campground has taken it upon himself to police e-bikes. So one using an e-bike due to disability or other reasons might be better served t avoid the campground and use Trailhead #2 just a little further down the Vernon-McNary Road in order to avoid confrontations. That said, it's amazing how even in a historic drought, wildflowers find a way!
It's amazing what these determined little wildflowers can do even when they have almost no water to work with. Let's hope it gets to monsooning soon both for their sake and to reduce our fire danger!
Anyway, this week . . . plan on meeting at the Buena Vista trailhead a few miles south of Show Low on U.S. 60 at 7:00 a.m ready to ride. We may try to stretch this ride out a little bit, but plan on a twelve to fifteen mile ride. Intermediate mountain biking skills are recommended. It's going to heat up quickly Saturday morning, so brink plenty of water and electrolytes! As always, we stop at all of the trail intersections to gather the group back together will not lose anyone out there. So don't be afraid to come join us!
