Saturday Morning Los Burros Ride, 7:00 a.m.
Saturday Morning Ride: Happy Wednesday everyone! Time to start making ride plans for this weekend so you are not tempted to sleep in Saturday morning and miss prime-time for getting a ride in. Last week we had a great group ride in the Buena Vista and expect the same this weekend!
Moses braved the skinny at Buena Vista last weekend!
The Los Burros loop is about fourteen mile long MTB ride, give or take. The trail is an intermediate level ride and will take probably about 2-2.5 hours to complete at a nice social pace with a few breaks along the way. This is a no-drop ride, so come on out and have some fun.
We will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the back end of the Los Burros campground. So be there and be ready to ride! Good chances of rain remain in the forecast everyday the rest of this week . . . but you know how that goes lately. Promises, promises . . . very little action.
Access to Trail: From the Lakeside Ranger Station, travel South on AZ 260 to McNary. Take the first left turn after the old General Store. Go North on FR 224 (Apache CR3140) for 7.1 miles. Turn right into Los Burros Campground and Trailhead #1 is at the far end.
You can also get to this location from Show Low by driving east to Vernon and turning on the Vernon-McNary Road. You would pass the Land of the Pioneers trail and Los Burros TH #2 if you do this and eventually get to the Los Burros campground about ten miles after having turned onto the Vernon-McNary Road.
